Travel away!

So after a chaotic week of paperwork appointments and packing I made my way to Baltimore. I am here for about 16 weeks on a travel nurse assignment at Johns Hopkins. I will be working on the Neurosciences floor there. So the move went well and the drive out here was not bad at all. I was lucky enough to have my brother along with me and we took our time getting to Maryland. We went through Napanee in Indiana a Amish town which was neat and a lot of other backroads. We accidently stopped by Michigan on our way there. Neither of us will admit to doing that. We had a good time and he was very helpful getting me settled. Now I am on orientation and missing Northwestern a bit. We have the typical oddballs and kooks in orientation. One girl from Chicago. One woman I swear did drugs at some point in her long life. She turned to me today and said: "I used to be cold all the time, not after antidepressants and soda now I am always hot." I don't plan to tell her about my blog. Working 9-5 most of this week. I don't see myself having as much fun here as at NMH with the nurses and residents and such. Perhaps I will have to loosen them all up!!! I told them we used to have contests, play jokes and laugh a lot. I think I just became a kook in orientation from all of that. I kind of laughed to myself because they were talking about cytotoxic drugs and Gancyclovir, Imuran and Rituxan were high risk drugs. Gave plenty of those in the old days. Thinking about many of you. If you have a chance come visit me out here my door is always open.
