Over Two months since I last wrote....
Since it has been awhile I guess I will update all on my life. I left Baltimore December 14th and spent just over a month at home for the holidays. I eventually was forced to take a new assignment in a less than ideal location of Syracuse, New York. The snow here is has been a plenty and the people mostly normal. I have already been asked for directions twice so the direction streak continues as well.
I have learned a few new terms as well since I have arrived. When someone says something like: "Oh I bought these earrings in the city" they don't mean Syracuse they mean NYC which is about 4.5 hours away. When they say: "Oh She's up north" They mean a prison up north. When they talk about Mexico it is a nearby town NOT the country (Never fear I didn't actually think the country got 100 inches of snow).
The number of snowmobiling accidents here is atrocious. I take care of one accident victim every night. Frankly, I would get tired of it every season. Anyway I am in a nice two bedroom apartment so there is always room for one more! I plan to go to Lake Placid next week for some skiing and otherwise I am watching the snow melt! The village I live in is cute and the Erie Canal is right here. I can't wait to see the area green! I am sure it is gorgeous!!!
