Weapons

A glance at the title and you may think this blog will be about North Korea or Iran creating nuclear weapons or you may think it is about Russia and the new "cold war" possibility or you may even consider this blog to be about Iran supplying weapons to Al Qaeda to help fight our troops. It's not. It's about strollers.

How are strollers weapons? Well, let me tell you, since you asked. If you go out to a crowded park, tourist site, sidewalk or ambulatory area you will see adults pushing strollers. Look a little closer and you will see adults using a weapon. Just like many people use a huge SUV in traffic as a weapon, people use strollers as weapons. It generally doesn't matter if there are small children, big children, multiple children or babies riding inside, it still is a weapon. It can be empty and be a weapon although less formidable but no less destructive.

I often find myself in crowd of people either trying to get to a destination or trying to see some wonderful site. In this mass of people are the few slamming around with a stroller. They want to get where they want to go or see what they want to see and they will shove their way through it all. Heaven forbid your ankles, feet, heels or even body be in the way of this barreling childmobile. Those parents, grandparents, nannies or friends will jam their way through you without a second glance. Childrens heads rolling side to side, foreward and back they clamp onto the bar in front of them and thank their lucky stars ma and pa put clipped them in with their seatbelts. A very short and rude "Excuse me" is spit out as these adults disbelieve I didn't leap out of their way as if they were a car careening out of control. If you want to walk without a limp the next day, I would suggest you move. Now you must note these "strollers" are just as dangerous next to you as they are coming towards you. These drivers also swing these weapons from side to side if need be. they take out hips, shoulder bags, lunch coolers, thighs and arms. Note: bruising is not unusual. So next time you are in a crowd don't tell me I didn't warn you. I really hate when people use strollers as weapons, or to cut in the deli meat line, or to hog the gigantic sidewalk, or to gain the right of way. I think I need to get me one of those.....
